Crowdsource translation or “crowd translation” is the latest process technology for translating large documents or many, smaller documents. The idea is to assign projects to a crowd of translators instead of to a single translator.
Translation agencies typically spend a lot of time assigning translators to projects, both freelance translators and in-house translators. As an agency tests the availability of translators in the database, they are essentially asking each translator in a crowd to take the project.
