Optimize your Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) with Automated QA Checks in Wordbee

| 1月 31, 2019

Why are we still talking about QA?

Even though we have been talking about quality in the localization industry for what seems like forever, it’s still The Thing.

You’ve got your TEP system setup. You’re using specialized translation workflows. You’re working with native translators who specialize in your field. Maybe you’ve even got some automated QA. Is it enough?

Wordbee Translator takes your QA to a higher level, reducing errors, improving quality, and easing your translation project management burden.

Let’s walk through it.

Start with our extensive, pre-defined QA checks

The Wordbee QA tool detects errors in translations documents by comparing the source and target segments. This QA check helps translators and project managers find errors and improve the overall translation quality.

Though the full list has more than 25 QA checks, the major ones include spellchecking, terminology and consistency, dates, times,  forbidden terms, markup or formatting tags, double punctuation, and sentiment analysis.

Set up your own QA profiles

In the Wordbee Translator QA tool, you can create and use multiple “QA profiles” with a preset of actions for error detection. A QA Profile defines the rules that will be followed when performing a QA Check within the QA Tool.

In organizations dealing with special types of content, with special types of errors, the ability to set up different QA checks is super handy. Combined with our custom QA check module using regular expression, you can get super granular.

Over time, your QA prowess will grow as the flexibility of Wordbee provides you with so many options to customize.

Use the real-time QA Smart Assistant

The real-time QA Smart Assistant takes the power of the automated QA tool and makes it into a real-time assistant for translators and proofreaders while they are in the act of translating or proofreading. Real-time checks can be limited to only certain QA checks.

What this does is help you catch more errors before the translation reaches its final stages, reducing the back-and-forth that comes with every error found during or after proofreading.

Mandatory supplier QA checks

Project managers can automatically ask their suppliers to perform a complete quality assurance (QA) with the tool before completing the translation.

In this way, you can be sure that the QA was finished correctly.
